BEARA HISTORICAL SOCIETY'S TALKS DURING 1986 |
The Beara Historical Society was formed by a group of residents interested in advancing the discovery, preservation and interpretation of the history throughout the Beara peninsula.
The Inaugural meeting was held on the 14th November 1986 in Murphy's Restaurant, East End and was attended by 22 people.
Those in attendance were: - Gerard Harrington, Gertie & John Finbarr O'Sullivan, John Murphy, Kathleen Twomey, Charles Moriarty, Jimmy O'Sullivan, Tom O'Brien, Jimmy Harrington, Donal Murphy, Anna Sweeney, Mary Breen, John Zuann, Coby Sonnemans, Anna Power, Maureen Dwyer, Edward Wiseman, Dr. Sheila Murphy, Colm Power, Connie Murphy, Brendan Finch & Cathal Moriarty.
