Allihies Copper Mine Museum is pleased to invite all members of Beara Historical Society to the Irish launch of Diane Hodnett’s new book

‘The Metal Mines of West Cork’

A comprehensive study of the metal mines of West Cork published by The Trevithick Society, Cornwall.

 The launch will take place in Allihies Copper Mine Museum at 3:30 pm, on Sunday 17^th October 2010.

The next outing of Beara Historical Society is to Kenmare on Sunday 25th July. Local historian, Donal Slater, will conduct a walk of Kenmare and tell us about the town's history.

We meet up at the Square in Kenmare at 3pm. It takes about an hour to get to Kenmare from Castletownbere, Eyeries etc.

Where possible members should contact each other beforehand and arrange their own transport so that we do not have half empty cars travelling.
