Aidan had a Miraculous Escape in 1945 when as a prisoner of the Japanese in Nagasaki, he and other prisoner's were ordered to dig a mass grave - their own. They were literally saved by the dropping of the second Atom Bomb. He was an eyewitness to the horror of the devastation and chaos that the bomb caused. Afterwards he became Administrator of the Japanese surrender being the Senior Officer in charge.May 27, 2008
